4 WAYS TO STAND OUT IN A CROWED MARKET

 Dr. Scott Herman shares his secretes that will help all Entrepreneurs

Every business has competition, however many markets are getting more crowed than ever. There has been much discussion about America being a county of service and health care businesses. We have discussed in many articles on Mybizuniverse.com over the past year that corporate America is laying off thousands of people that
will be entering many service and healthcare markets with their severance packages. In addition to these layoffs, corporate America also realizes the value of the mid-size business accounts and becoming much more aggressive in traditionally entrepreneurial markets. All this boils down to more crowed markets and the need to stand out.

We asked consumers and local Entrepreneurs what businesses they felt were most abundant (crowed) and the following five were mentioned in more than 70% of the responses:

1.   Real Estate

2.   Mortgages

3.   Banking

4.   Chiropractic

5.   Insurance

 

These results are not quantitative; however it did help us narrow our search for a business in one of these fields that truly understands how to stand out in a crowd. We did not look for the business that does the most advertising; we looked for the Entrepreneur that understood what they were doing and did what they do in order to benefit their customer.

 

While discussing this topic at a networking group (NPI) in West Broward I listened to the responses given by Dr. Scott Herman, a Chiropractic Physician. After a few minutes it became obvious that he not only understands exactly what he is doing to stand out, but he understood why... to make his patients feel better!

 

After interviewing Dr. Herman, his staff, a sampling of his patients we identified four ways all Entrepreneurs can stand out in a crowed market.

 

                  1. TRULY CARE ABOUT YOUR CUSTOMERS

 

It sounds so easy, however most Entrepreneurs forget this valuable principle. All we care about is buying a bigger house or how many things we can buy with more profit If you want to stand out in a crowd you must care about the people that pay you for your products or services. Dr. Herman has processes that allow him to manage every case of every patient His entire staff is proficient at what they do and they all attend on-going training both in the office and at Regional and National Conferences.

 

2. INTEGRATE TECHNOLOGY & PROCESS WITH THE PERSONAL TOUCH

 

The phrase people, process, technology has been abused by corporate America for the past 10 years. They mean that they buy technology that will improve their processes that will allow them to employee less people and pay less for the people that they do keep. As Entrepreneurs you can stand out from the crowd by utilizing technology and implementing processes that help your customers achieve their goals for coming to your business. Don’t forget the personal touch, we became Entrepreneurs so that we could help people, talk to them and be in touch with them.

 

Dr. Herman has invested in adjustment tables that absorb the pressure and make the adjustment more efficient, he has integrated therapeutic massage so his patients don’t have to travel to another location and he has invested heavily into a new type traction that has shown amazing results. Over the years Dr. Herman has developed processes for getting his patients the care they need in the most efficient manner. Imagine that, a doctor that understands that I am running my business and I don’t have two hours to wait for my treatments. Yes, a doctor’s office that schedules my appointment at 8 am and means 8 am, not 9:30!!!                3. FIND A NICHE & TAKE ACTION

 

 

Most markets that are crowed are occupied by a whole bunch of “me too” type companies. The customers have nothing that they can say is unique about the businesses in the market. One of the best ways to stand out is to identify a niche that you can target within a market. Once you identify a niche within a market, you must then take action and go after the niche you have identified.

 

A common saying in Chiropractic is “anyone with a spine is a potential patient!” This maybe true, however this will make your message so broad that you won’t stand out in any crowd. Dr. Herman has been an Entrepreneur prior to entering the healthcare world. He has used this knowledge to create processes and implement technology that meets the specific needs of Entrepreneurs. This is why he tracks and ensures that a patient will be seen on time, receive their treatments on time end on time. In addition to the processes, he uses

technology like spinal decompression equipment that is proven to shorten the time it takes an Entrepreneur to get back to work.  This technology gets people better, faster, cheaper and without going through costly surgery.  Saving both money and time away from work.

               4. DO WHAT OTHERS DON’T

 

If you only do what everyone else in your market does, then how can you plan on standing out? Look for a way to get recognition as an expert, offer education ma relevant and convenient setting, package your products or services in a way that makes it cost effective, easy to use and meets the specific needs of the people you want help.

 

Dr. Herman is a member of a not for profit speakers group that helps educate seniors, children, and others. This speaker’s bureau will bring in the appropriate expert to your organization or place of business at no charge if there is a desire to learn about the many health topics available. Everything Dr. Herman does is designed to make proper healthcare and education, more accessible and more efficient.
